I guess that's exactly how regular dating works - you say something weird, you get ghosted. You're not weird enough, you get ghosted.
I don't just ghost, I block if someone is giving me weird vibe, but a lot of my friendships from here died out naturally. Not all of them.
Also, some people are busy with work (like me) and don't have too much time to check messages every hour or so. Then if you get "angry" they didn't answer you might ghost them too, in a way - and we're back to square 1.
No clue if that's the reason here, but desperation stinks from a mile away even on a fetish website.
